In the autumn of 2016, I arrived in Sydney with my wife and two young children, carrying the confidence built from a decade of professional success and the uncertainty that every skilled migrant feels when starting again in a new country.
Before migrating, I had spent ten years in stable, respected roles: eight years in a major telecom organisation and two years in a renowned consulting firm. I had earned advanced certifications including ITIL Expert, PRINCE2 Practitioner, COBIT 5, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and Lead Implementer, and BCM 22301 Lead Implementer. My career had taken me across Thailand, Malaysia, and Norway on expat assignments. I knew my capabilities, and I believed my experience would translate naturally into the Australian market.
But Sydney is one of the most expensive cities in the world, and reality arrived quickly.
After settling in October, I began applying for roles. Weeks passed with no responses. Then months. My savings started shrinking. My confidence began to shake. People advised me to take any job available, to start from service desk roles, to lower my expectations. But I refused to compromise my value. I committed to a disciplined routine, applying from 9 AM to 5 PM every day.
I analysed everything: my resume, my LinkedIn profile, the Australian job market, and the expectations of local recruiters. I attended meetups, studied other professionals’ profiles, and refined my approach. Slowly, I realised the mistakes I had made. I began tailoring my resume to Australian standards, customising each application, and sharpening my job search strategy. In 2016 and 2017, without AI tools, customising a resume and cover letter took days. It was exhausting. At one point, the strain froze my neck and spine, leaving me unable to sleep for nights.
But persistence pays off.
After four months, I mastered the Australian job search process. Recruiter calls started coming in. I learned how to pass screenings. I reached a point where I would apply in the morning and expect calls by the afternoon.
My first interview was with BHP Billiton, a dream employer for many Australians. Then came Dell EMC, NTT Consulting, and several others. Eventually, I joined Westpac Bank as a Principal Solution Designer on a high daily rate contract in their cloud program, despite having no banking experience, no cloud experience, and no prior Australian experience. What I had was strategy, preparation, and resilience.
Since then, I have worked with top commercial banks, federal and state government organisations, and delivered classes at RMIT. My journey taught me that skilled professionals do not fail because they lack talent, they struggle because they lack structured guidance tailored to the ever-changing Australian market.
That is why I founded Aazile Consulting.
Our mission is simple: To support professionals during their most difficult crossroads with structured, practical, and empowering mentoring.
You may be a new immigrant, a fresh graduate, someone recently made redundant, or a professional returning to the workforce after taking a break for family or personal reasons; my role is to help you regain clarity, rebuild confidence, and return with purpose. My approach begins with deeply understanding your current situation, stabilising your emotional state, and identifying the most suitable career path for your strengths and long‑term goals. From there, I map out your immediate needs, design a targeted three‑to‑four‑week strategy, and guide you through a disciplined application process.
When challenges appear, whether in resume shortlisting, recruiter screening, or interviews. I reinforce the exact skills that need strengthening. Through structured mock interviews, behavioural coaching, and strategic refinement, I help you convert opportunities into offers. Over the last two years alone, I have supported more than sixty clients in securing resume shortlists and interviews across top‑tier banks, FMCG leaders, energy companies, and multiple government agencies.
I am not new to corporate training or professional development. Between 2014 and 2016, I delivered more than two hundred advanced courses in ITIL, PRINCE2, and COBIT to seasoned professionals and subject‑matter experts across multiple industries. My students were already highly capable in their fields, and today they are successfully placed across Europe, Canada, the United States, and Australia. With deep experience in adult learning and multiple train‑the‑trainer programs, I understand how to guide individuals from uncertainty to clarity, and from potential to high performance.
I built Aazile Consulting, so others do not have to go through the same uncertainty, isolation, and trial and error that I faced. With the right strategy, every professional can unlock their full potential, just as I did.
